Child Protection
Children’s Aid Society has a legal mandate to protect and support the well-being of children and youth. We are available to accept reports of children and youth in need of protection 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Signs of Safety
This approach addresses the seriousness of alleged or confirmed maltreatment. It allows the family to remain the expert of their situation, maximizing the collaboration between families and workers.
Triple P
The Positive Parenting Program is one of the most recognized parenting programs worldwide. It is built on the core principles of positive parenting and the belief that small changes can lead to big results.
Foster & Adoption
We recruit, train, and support foster families, and guide adoptive parents through the process to provide safe, loving homes for children in need.
Out of Home
We provide safe, temporary care for children who cannot remain at home, ensuring stability and support while long-term plans are developed.
Intake and Assessment
We respond to concerns, assess each child’s safety and needs, and determine the appropriate level of protection and support.
Ready, Set, Go
Program (RSG)
We help youth transition to independent living by teaching life skills, building confidence, and connecting them to community resources.
Voluntary Youth Service Agreement (VYSA)
We work with youth to create individualized service plans that support education, housing, and personal goals.
General Services
We offer a range of child protection, family support, and community outreach services to ensure children’s safety and well-being.

the work of CASSDG
Our primary focus is the safety and well-being of children and youth. Our agency conducts assessments, offers support services such as counseling and teaching and, whenever possible, provides resources. The Children’s Aid Society of SDG also facilitates public adoptions for children and youth whose birth family is unable to care for.
